VISION AND BELIEFS

Throne Room House of Prayer began with one simple goal: to minister to the Lord and join Him in intercession for the earth. We set out to worship, adore, and agree with His heart in prayer. But as we ministered to Him, Jesus began revealing Himself—His heart, His desires, His emotions, and His power.

What we thought was simply a call to pray became a journey into the knowledge of God and a place of deep transformation into the image of Christ. The more we beheld Him, the more He changed us.

Today, we continue in that same simplicity: loving Him first, knowing Him deeply, and partnering with Him in prayer for our region.

Our vision is a region transformed by the revelation of Jesus—where people see Him rightly, know His heart, walk in His power, and join Him in intercession until His desires are established on earth as in heaven. We envision a community that worships freely and wholeheartedly, expressing devotion through singing, prayer, dance, flags, movement, and creativity without judgment or shame. And we commit to continuing in worship and prayer until Jesus returns, preparing the way and rolling out the red carpet for the coming King. 

In February 2020, Cory was praying about the prayer room when the Lord gave him a vision. He saw an industrial building—one he believed was in downtown Longview, TX. Inside the building, in the very center of the room, was a circular formation of night‑and‑day singers, musicians, and intercessors ministering to the Lord.

Surrounding them were rugs of every color, pattern, shape, and size—each one unique. Around the room were sections of worshippers: dancers, those with banners, prophetic painters, individuals expressing worship through sign language, and even potters shaping clay as an act of devotion. From the entrance of the building to the center of the circle stretched a long red carpet.

We understood the vision as a picture of the glory of God being surrounded by worship and intercession—echoing the throne room in Revelation 4 and the worship order of the tabernacle of David in 1 Chronicles 16. The rugs represented the diversity of worshippers and the many expressions of worship God delights in. The red carpet symbolized the honor given to Jesus—our Guest of Honor—and the prayer and worship movement that prepares the way for our soon‑coming King.

The Bible- We believe that the Bible is the Word of God, that it was written under the inspiration of the Holy Spirit and that it has authority in the matters of faith and conduct in the lives of believers. II Timothy 3:16, II Peter 1:20-21, Proverbs 30:5-6, Romans 16:25-26

The Trinity- We believe that there is one living and true God, eternally existing in the three persons of the Trinity: God the Father, God the Son and God the Holy Spirit. We believe these three persons are divinely equal and that they execute distinct but harmonious offices in the work of creation, providence and redemption. I John 5:7, Genesis 1:26, Matthew 3:16-17; 28:19, Isaiah 9:6, Hebrews 3:7-11

Jesus Christ- We believe in the deity of our Lord Jesus Christ, God’s only begotten Son, and that He was conceived by the Holy Spirit. We believe that He was born of the Virgin Mary, and that He possessed two complete, perfect natures of God and man, joined together in one Person. We believe that Jesus lived a sinless life on this earth and died a suffering death as He was crucified on the cross. We believe that He was buried in a borrowed tomb and descended to Hades and took back the keys of death and the grave. We believe He then rose on the third day to cleanse the sins of all mankind who believe in Him for eternity. We believe in the miracles and teachings of Jesus. We believe in His atoning death, His bodily resurrection, and His ascension to the right hand of the Father. We believe in His second coming and His personal return to this earth in power and glory to rule for a thousand years. Holy Spirit- We believe in the Holy Spirit, who was sent into the world as a comforter and guide to believers. We believe in the sanctifying power of the Holy Spirit, by whose indwelling, the believer is identified as God’s own and empowered to live a holy life. We believe that the Holy Spirit endues believers with power to be witnesses. We believe that the Holy Spirit distributes His gifts to believers for the building up of the saints and for the sharing of the gospel. Fall of Man- We believe that man was created in the image of God, that he sinned and thereby incurred both physical and spiritual death, which is our separation from God. Genesis 1:26-27, Genesis 2:17, Genesis 3:6, Romans 5:12-19

Salvation- We believe that those who trust in Jesus Christ as their Savior receive forgiveness of sins and the promise of eternal life and are regenerated by the power of the Holy Spirit. We believe that salvation from judgment, forgiveness of sin, and eternal life are free gifts of God’s grace, through faith in Jesus Christ’s death and resurrection, and cannot be earned, deserved, inherited or purchased. We believe the only way to God the Father is through Jesus Christ the Son. The Church- We believe that the Church is the Body of Christ on earth, empowered by the Holy Spirit with a divine purpose to glorify God, to evangelize the lost and to make disciples. We believe that each member of the Church, from clergy to lay people, is important and has been gifted by God so that when each part is working properly, the entire Body might grow to maturity in unselfish love. The Blessed Hope- We believe in the resurrection of those who have fallen asleep in Christ and their translation together with those who are alive and remain until the coming of the Lord. We believe that Jesus is coming soon! We are looking forward to that day and wait eagerly for His return. I Thessalonians 4:16-17, Romans 8:23, Titus 2:13, I Corinthians 15:51-52, II Peter 3:12-13
